Dr. Sydney Duvall, DDS
Dr. Sydney Duvall is an accomplished dentist who graduated from the LSU Health School of Dentistry. Originally from New Iberia, Louisiana, she has built a strong reputation in the dental community for her expertise, compassionate care, and dedication to her patients. With a focus on providing exceptional dental services, Dr. Duvall is committed to helping her patients achieve and maintain healthy, beautiful smiles. Her professional journey reflects her passion for dentistry, and she is known for her attention to detail, patient-centered approach, and excellent communication skills. As a highly respected member of her field, Dr. Duvall continues to make a positive impact in the lives of those she treats.
Dr. Austin Chautin, DDS
Dr. Austin Chautin was born and raised in Slidell, LA. He attended Pope John Paul II Catholic High School and completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Southern Mississippi. Dr. Chautin worked for Hood Dental Care as a dental assistant alongside Dr. Hood for several years before earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. He is thrilled to be back at HDC as a dentist and ready to serve his patients' needs with the latest and greatest technology available. In his spare time, he enjoys running, biking, reading, and spending time on the beach with his family.
Emilie
Emilie joined the Hood Dental Care team in 2018 as a dental assistant. She returned in 2023 as a dental hygienist after receiving her Bachelor of Science from LSU Dental School. Emilie’s favorite part about being a dental hygienist is educating her patients about their oral health. In her free time, she loves spending time with her two golden retrievers.
Emma Crowther
Emma joined the Hood Dental team in 2025 after graduating from LSU with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing. With a passion for creativity, she always knew she wanted to work in social media—and working with teeth was just a bonus! In her free time, Emma loves watching LSU Baseball, traveling, online shopping, and spending time with friends and family.
Landry
Landry joined our team as a full-time hygienist in November 2024. She graduated from the University of Louisiana – Monroe in May of 2023 with her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. After graduation, Landry spent a little over a year working as a traveling hygienist in Maryland and Texas. Landry’s favourite part of being a hygienist is creating long-lasting connections with her patients. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dog.
Shelley
Shelley brings over 20 years of experience in the dental field to her role as Assistant Office Manager at Hood Dental Care. Starting her career as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant, she spent 17 years chair-side before transitioning to the front desk, where her deep knowledge of clinical and administrative processes helps keep the office running smoothly. Shelley, her husband Kris, and their son Dalton reside in Pride, La., and have lived there for 21 years. Shelley joined the Hood Dental Care team in October 2024 and is passionate about creating a welcoming, efficient environment for both patients and staff. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the drag strip cheering on her husband and son.
Presley
Presley joined Hood Dental Care as an assistant in October 2022 and returned in 2025 as a full-time dental hygienist after earning her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the LSU School of Dentistry. She's passionate about building lasting relationships with patients while educating them on the importance of oral health. Outside of the office, Presley enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and spoiling her golden doodle, Finn.
