Dr. Ed Hood, DDS
Dr. Ed Hood is a native of and resident of Denham Springs, LA. He is a 1977 graduate of Denham Springs High School. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in 1985. He is a member of the Greater Baton Rouge Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association, and the American Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Hood’s passion and desire are to provide the highest quality dentistry to all patients with the latest in technology and with highly trained personnel whose primary focus is patient care in a professional atmosphere, where comfort and trust are priorities. Dr. Hood attends numerous continuing education courses every year to stay current with enhancements that make dentistry easier and more comfortable for patients. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting and playing golf.
Dr. Andrew Hood, DDS
Dr. Andrew Hood is a native and resident of Denham Springs. After graduating from Denham Springs High School in 2004, he completed his undergraduate courses in Biological Sciences at LSU and continued to earn his DDS from the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans. He is dedicated to providing personalized care to all of his patients by using state-of-the-art facilities and equipment and staying current with the newest and best techniques available in modern dentistry. Andrew Hood is proud to work alongside his father and continue his legacy of bringing healthy, beautiful smiles to people.
Dr. Rebecca Tatum, DDS
Dr. Rebecca Tatum was raised in Baton Rouge, La. After graduating from Parkview Baptist School, she received her Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University. She then attended the LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Tatum loves dentistry because it allows her to get to know patients' personalities while helping them become healthy and confident in their smiles. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the beach, fishing in Grand Isle with her family, and playing tennis!
Dr. Sarah Davis, DDS
Dr. Sarah Davis was born and raised in Arkansas, where she attended the University of Arkansas, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2020. She then attended LSU School of Dentistry, earning her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2024. Dr. Sarah‘s goal is to give patients the smile they have always wanted while fostering a welcoming and safe environment in each visit. In her spare time, Dr. Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and watching movies.
Dr. Jacob Derrickson, DDS
Dr. Jake was raised in French Settlement, Louisiana, and is proud to serve the community that he grew up in. He earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Centenary College of Louisiana, where he played baseball and received two National College Athlete Honor Society Awards. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the LSU School of Dentistry, class of 2021. While in dental school, Dr. Jake began volunteering with the Special Olympics of Louisiana and now continues to work with the Special Olympics Healthy Athletes division. Dr. Jake is married to his beautiful wife, Mary Beth. They enjoy traveling and spending time with their weenie dog, Mr. Gibbs, who loves to terrorize the neighborhood. In his free time, Dr. Jake enjoys woodworking, playing music, and training in martial arts.
Fallon
Fallon joined the Hood Dental Care team in 2020 after graduating from LSU with a degree in Sociology. Although dentistry wasn't her original path, an unexpected opportunity led her into the field - and it quickly became a true passion. She is dedicated to creating a positive, welcoming environment for every patient, with a special focus on easing dental anxiety and making each visit a comfortable experience. Fallon brings both compassion and professionalism to her role, helping patients feel cared for and confident in their smiles. Outside of the office, Fallon enjoys attending LSU sporting events, traveling, and spoiling her two beloved pups, Tillie and Tuck.
Jess
Jessica joined the Hood Dental Care team in 2020 and brings over 13 years of dental experience to the team. Her passion for dentistry shines through in every patient interaction, and she is dedicated to creating a comfortable, caring environment for everyone who walks through the door. Known for her strong work ethic and excellent multitasking skills, Jess helps keep the office running smoothly while ensuring each patient receives personalized attention. She thrives in the fast-paced dental environment and is always ready to lend a helping hand wherever needed. When she's not in the office, Jess enjoys hunting, bowfishing, and attending LSU baseball games with her family.
Anna
Anna joined the Hood Dental Care team in 2020 and has been a valued part of our office ever since. A Louisiana native, she graduated from Central High School in 2018. Anna is passionate about creating a positive, supportive office environment and is dedicated to making sure every patient feels comfortable, welcomed, and well cared for during their visit. Outside of the office, Anna loves spending quality time with her two-year-old daughter, Saige, and enjoys camping with friends and family.
Paige
Paige joined the Hood Dental Care team in 2024. She has a background in customer service and provides excellent care to our patients. Paige is passionate about ensuring that every patient feels not only welcomed but also like a valued member of our practice family! In her free time, Paige loves to spend time with her family and friends, and she also enjoys spending time outdoors!
Raven
Raven joined our team in 2018 as a clinical assistant. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene at LSU Dental School, she returned to Hood Dental Care as a full-time hygienist. Raven strives to put a big, healthy smile on every patient’s face!
Gueslee
Guesslee joined the Hood Dental Care team in June 2024 after graduating from the LSU School of Dentistry. Guesslee is from Denham Springs and loves to serve her community! She is devoted to providing her patients with the best care and educating them on the importance of their oral health. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, baking, and spending time with her friends and family.
Camille
Camille joined the Hood Dental Care team in 2024 as a hygiene assistant. After earning her degree from the LSU School of Dentistry, she returned in 2025 as a hygienist. She is passionate about providing high-quality care and educating her patients on the importance of their oral health. In her free time, Camille enjoys cooking and spending time with her family and friends!
Cierra
Cierra joined Hood Dental Care in 2024 as a hygiene assistant and later returned as a full-time dental hygienist in 2025 after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from the LSU School of Dentistry. After many years of participation in sports, Cierra enjoys working as a team to achieve everyone's goal of a smiling patient. Cierra enjoys spending time with her friends, pets, and family, especially on the water boating or fishing.
Emilie
Emilie joined the Hood Dental Care team in 2018 as a dental assistant. She returned in 2023 as a dental hygienist after receiving her Bachelor of Science from LSU Dental School. Emilie’s favorite part about being a dental hygienist is educating her patients about their oral health. In her free time, she loves spending time with her two golden retrievers.
Emma
Emma joined the Hood Dental Care team in 2025 after graduating from LSU with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Originally from Alexandria, Louisiana, she brings a strong passion for creativity and social media to the practice—combining her love for digital storytelling with the unique world of dentistry. Outside of the office, Emma enjoys going on walks, traveling, online shopping, and spending quality time with friends and family.
